President's Executive Cabinet Committee Meeting

Budget Discussion — Possible budget scenarios for FY09 and FY10 were discussed.

Fringe Rate Overview — An overview of the fringe rate calculation and procedures was discussed.

Vacant Positions — A proposed plan to institute a more current list of open positions in the HR system was discussed by the Interim Provost. This proposal was also discussed with CAAG.


President's Cabinet Meeting

Legislative Review — The Interim President reviewed pending bills in the Colorado legislature that may affect CSU.

Federal Economic Stimulus Plan — The President's Chief of Staff reviewed the proposed Economic Stimulus Plan and its potential impact on Colorado and CSU in student aid and research funding.

Information Technology Executive Committee (ITEC) — There will be a proposal to restructure the Information Technology Executive Committee presented at next the next cabinet meeting.

Celebrate Colorado State — The Celebrate Colorado State event is being reviewed for reformatting and maximum attendance.

Ram Response — The program currently called "Ram Response" was reviewed. This program provides a list to better connect students and faculty to volunteer opportunities.

Budget 101 — There will be budget training sessions in March open to campus prior to the budget hearing on March 11.

International Colloquium on Sustainability — There will be an International Colloquium on Sustainability in September. The full schedule will follow at a future meeting.
